During Holy Week, Trump endorsed the "God Bless the USA" Bible in a video posted to Truth Social last month. On sale for $59.99, the special edition Bible contains copies of the U.S. Constitution, the Declaration of Independence, the Bill of Rights, and the Pledge of Allegiance, along with the handwritten chorus to the Lee Greenwood song "God Bless the USA," which is frequently played at Trump's rallies.

At Calvary, you’ll have numerous chances to develop as a genuine follower of Jesus, form Christ-centered relationships, and use your abilities and talents to help others. "If you glory in that kind of thing, you don't have a prayer life. If you glory in that kind of mess, political mess, you do not know what the word of God says," Livingston stressed. "This is not my home. This world is not my home."

Moreover, they are devoted to live teaching, video teaching, and team teaching at each of their New City locations, which implies that at designated times in each location. Roberts said his church was forced to adapt, holding services in the parking lot and live streaming every Sunday -- but never closing. Today, nearly 400 people watch services every Sunday, but that success didn’t happen at all of the churches.

Livingston also warned the congregation and viewers that, "people that don't read [the Bible] and pray will get politics mixed up with church." Pastor Loran Livingston of Central Church in Charlotte, North Carolina, condemned the "God Bless the USA Bible" in a sermon delivered on April 14. Clips of the sermon have been viewed millions of times after various users have shared them on social media in recent days.

A North Carolina pastor has gone viral after urging his congregants not to embrace the "God Bless the USA Bible" endorsed by former President Donald Trump, which includes documents central to the founding of the United States. Now you can get mad if you want to, but I’m going to tell you something. If you glory in that kind of thing, you don’t have a prayer life.

Why did former President Donald Trump start selling a Bible?

Not far west in Birmingham, Alabama lie The Bus Center headquarters. As one of the largest dealers in the nation, we’re committed to making sure North Carolina has all its van & bus sales needs met in a way that’s safe, fun, and efficient. Black churches across the Carolinas, which are still feeling the impact of the pandemic, are experiencing a similar phenomenon.

Our executive limousine buses and vans are sure to please. She has worked as a journalist for nearly a decade having contributed to several large publications including the Yahoo News and True Dakotan. As a journalist for Kev’s Best, Anna covers national and local businesses.

Clips of the sermon show Livingston at the pulpit talking about politics in church. The former president suggested that the presence of the founding documents alongside the Bible was a good way to draw attention to the influence of Judeo-Christian teachings on America's founding documents. He also encouraged his supporters to read the Bible, suggesting that many of the problems engulfing the U.S. stem from the fact that "we've lost religion in this country." Livingston pushed back on this notion, asserting that "politics is of this world." Directing a message to people who he said "bring politics into the Church," he told them, "You think it's your duty to be political about this, that and the other." The Newberry is a two story three bedroom two and a half bath home with a spacious family room formal dining room kitchen with island and pantry and a home office. The second floor features three bedrooms including the primary suite and large walk in closet a separate laundry room and a loft area.

I have been attending this church of Loving people & Pastor Jacobs and 1st lady are beautiful people!!!!! Every time I am in NC I Will be in attendance to receive The Word." Wonderful Church had a great worship experience.

How homeless people built their own house in L A.'s Highland Park Los Angeles Times

The dish was completely worth the $9 price tag and makes a perfect accompaniment to any drinking you may be sipping. If I was sitting at a table with friends, the mousse would be the dish I ordered two of. With $9 left, I could have turned to the soup, the olives or even the deviled eggs. But, the chicken liver mousse just seemed like a better value. Smooth, rich and creamy, the mousse will eat up the thin toasty crostini served alongside in minutes.

These are the California cities where $150,000 still buys you a home. Could you live here?

By the early 20th century, the city had decided to solve the problem by creating a concrete channel that whisked water from the mountains to the ocean as speedily as possible. Knatz earned a master’s degree in environmental engineering from USC Viterbi in 1977 and a doctorate in biological sciences from USC Dornsife in 1979. Her book traces the port’s history, from the 1890s, when several railway barons saw its potential to yield lucrative freight shipping contracts, to its dominant role today. Dubbed “America’s Port,” the Port of Los Angeles now occupies 7,500 acres of land and water along 43 miles of waterfront.

The rivers also serve as a handy yardstick to measure the city’s expansion, Deverell notes. The Los Angeles River, the smallest, was adequate for a small pioneer town but quickly proved insufficient for the city’s aspirations. “Properties of Thirst” is a love story too about the Owens Valley, which was once a verdant agricultural area but now is near desert, its water commandeered for thirsty Los Angeles. It’s a narrative Wiggins infuses with grace and grit so that readers will feel the heat and the wind that blows off the sepia landscape. Occasionally, he finds work as a day laborer, but it’s not a stable source of income.

On the ledge of a concrete channel, he has built a temporary sanctuary at a time when so many throughout the region are struggling to get by. Roughly four in 10 renters in Los Angeles County live in fear of becoming homeless, according to a recent study from UCLA’s Luskin School of Public Affairs. Specializing in detailed black-and-grey designs, as well as color work with a sense of humor, the veteran duo bring a dash of everything to the drawing table. By the looks of her, Zoey Taylor does not fit the image of your typical hardcore, chopper-riding tattooer. After a childhood spent drawing and reading by candlelight in the back woods of Oregon, Ms. Taylor decided she wanted to look like a ’50s movie star and become an artist. She bought some cheap tattoo equipment, and after a few practice tattoos on herself and some brave buddies, she made the southward move to Hollywood. Along the way, Porzak fell in love with her mother’s unpublished manuscript. She became not only Wiggins’ full-time caregiver but her amanuensis and archivist.

While the almighty beverage is focus here, the food should not be overlooked. While the menu is not massive, there's enough to put together a meal to pair with a glass of wine or two. If you don’t want to stay and imbibe, don’t worry — all of those bottles are available to-go. The selection is nicely curated, covering reds, whites, sparkling, pink and orange wines. Of course, beer and cider do make the beverage list as well, and these can also be added to your takeout order.

The shot pans out as his car enters the long driveway, flanked on either side by a carpet of bright green grass. Gittes walks past a man hosing down one of Mulwray’s cars to reach the backyard, where well-tended plants and trees surround a rock pool with a running waterfall. In both L.A.’s saltwater and freshwater battles, the city’s politicians exhibited a ruthless single-mindedness that left many casualties in its wake — both human and environmental. In the early 20th century, the Owens Valley was transformed from fertile farming land into a parched, arid region where little would grow. Since the mid-20th century, air pollution from ships and cargo trucks has plagued neighborhoods around the Port of Los Angeles, with health consequences for local residents and workers.

“You can’t save what you don’t love,” reads the declarative sentence that opens the novel. It becomes the theme that ties together the disparate characters as they attempt to save the water, save the land, save their families and ultimately save themselves. And it describes the novel that mother and daughter have saved together. A set of French doors cover the entrance next to a red refrigerator powered by a solar panel and a battery that are just strong enough to keep a carton of almond milk chilled.

While those are popular spots, I've always been a bigger fan of Wrightsville Beach. The water is cleaner and the beaches a little less crowded than Myrtle, and it's a much closer drive than the Outer Banks. It's a short two-hour drive from Charlotte, and it has pretty much everything you could want from a quiet weekend getaway.

Need a relaxing beach weekend? Check out Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina

There are about 40 miles worth of trails to explore and some great waterfall views. Be warned, there’s some elevation here, so expect more strenuous hiking than in the Charlotte area. Grandfather Mountain State Park is one of North Carolina’s most iconic hiking spots. It’s also home to some of its toughest hiking — think rugged terrain with the occasional ladder or cable. It’s a little over two hours northwest of Charlotte, but keep in mind that the terrain on some trails here might make for a slower-than-usual pace, so arrive early if you’re only hoping for a day hike. (For example, the Grandfather Trail takes hikers up and down 1,872 feet over just two and a half miles.) The state park is free, but there’s also a paid area with access to the Mile High Swinging Bridge.

Spring has average highs ranging from 59 degrees F (15 degrees C) in March to a warm 81 degrees F (27 degrees C) in May, with low temperatures comfortably above freezing. Note that there are frequent rain showers in the spring, so come prepared with a rain jacket and waterproof shoes. Summers are hot and humid, with temperatures soaring to 90 degrees F (32 degrees C) frequently. But it's also a great time to take advantage of the area's water-based activities, like kayaking, paddle boarding, and swimming.

Lows hover around 60 degrees F (15.5 degrees C) at the beginning of the season and drop to 32 degrees F (0 degrees C) by December. There is also less rain in the fall, which will give you the option to explore the area's many outdoor activities as long as you wear layers. Winters are mild, with temperatures ranging between 30 to 60 degrees F (-1 to 16 degrees C). Winter also brings fewer crowds, cheaper hotel rates, and cheaper plane fares. Elk Knob State Park is actually one of North Carolina’s youngest state parks, at just 18 years old.

One challenge is that many people are still using pre-pandemic prices as their benchmark, so any other economic message the president is trying to send isn't breaking through. He also spends a lot of time talking about his efforts to curb housing and prescription drug costs and eliminate junk fees.

It is, however, a starting point for places that a Charlotte resident could drive to in less than three hours, spend a few hours in the woods, and make it home by nightfall. Don’t let development and traffic turn you off to the Queen City’s trails. You won’t get sweeping mountain vistas, but Mecklenburg County has several nature preserves with plenty of wooded trails.

Sure, western North Carolina steals the show when it comes to mountains, but that doesn’t mean the area of east Charlotte is without its fun. Morrow Mountain State Park, about an hour from Charlotte in Albemarle, is named after one of the tallest peaks in the Uwharrie Mountains at just over 900 feet. Here are some suggestions for hikes within day-trip distance of Charlotte, including favorites from listeners who responded when we asked on social media. It’s worth pointing out that this is nowhere near an exhaustive list of hiking trails.

Fall marks another ideal time to visit Charlotte, as temperatures cool off, family travelers retreat for the school year, and hotel prices come down from spring and summer rates. If you're looking for fall foliage or a side trip to the nearby Blue Ridge Mountains or mountain towns like Asheville, plan on visiting from mid- to late October to see the leaves at their peak. In Charlotte proper, you can expect comfortable temperatures in the 60s and 70s F for most of the season and lots of fall-themed events. With ideal temperatures and highs in the 60s and the upper 70s F, the entire city in bloom, and outdoor and other attractions operating on extended hours, spring is the perfect time to visit Charlotte.

Want to play a round? Visit Hilton Head Island, South Carolina

Back in 2021, voters in this county and across the nation were concerned about prices for gas, groceries, rent and insurance. But even though the economy dominated the headlines, Democrats did a lot better than expected in midterm races in 2022, including in Northampton County, where Rep. Susan Wild, D-Pa., held her seat. Just make sure that you're using a great credit card for gas and maximizing your hotel or Airbnb bookings. When you think of Carolina beaches, your first thought is probably Myrtle Beach. Or, if you watch as much Netflix as I did throughout the pandemic, the Outer Banks.

The park’s about an hour west of Charlotte in Gaston County, close to Interstate 85, and it has actual mountains in the metro area. The park has two small peaks (Crowders Mountain at roughly 1,600 feet and The Pinnacle at roughly 1,700). It has a variety of trails, including one that links to Kings Mountain State Park in South Carolina if you’re feeling ambitious. It’s most famous for the Backside Trail, a tough shot upward from the parking lot to Crowders Mountain’s peak, which is full of jutting rocks and offers an often-photographed view of uptown Charlotte. Fall is also an excellent time to visit, with fewer visitors, and temperatures ranging from highs in the low 80s F in September to upper 50s F in November.

"People want to complain about the economy and everything like that," said Greg Poff, 49, a Republican who said he is concerned about border security. "If you can control the flow of people into the country and get the people that aren't supposed to be here out, everything else will fall like dominoes." Like a lot of voters, Arris doesn't mention 2020, Trump's last year in office, when the COVID-19 pandemic brought the economy to a near standstill. Asheville is also where to find Biltmore, the historic family estate of the Vanderbilts and America's largest home. The 8,000-acre house and grounds offer a full day, or more, of fun, including a winery, gardens, historical sites, a spa and a village to explore.

"You have a more stable USA. And it's not worth the short-term gain of a 401(k) going up." While I no longer live there, I was always finding new hidden gems when I did call the city home. You might be more interested in calculating the straight linedistance to fly from Charlotte, NC to High Point, NC. If you're meeting a friend, you might be interested in finding the city that is halfway between Charlotte, NC and High Point, NC.

You’re sometimes more likely to have the walk to yourself within this county of 1 million people than during peak hiking season in North Carolina’s more popular remote parks. Summers can be oppressively hot and humid in Charlotte and crowds at major attractions like Carowinds, the U.S. But with plenty of air conditioning and water-based activities, it's still a great time to visit the city.

Landsford Canal State Park is about 45 minutes south of Charlotte in Chester County. It’s a unique, scenic environment — and one that’s flat if hills aren’t your thing. A short hike takes you along the Catawba River and through the ruins of an old canal system from the 1800s. You’ll want to take photos, especially if you make it down during May and June when the rocky shoals spider lilies are blooming. The total driving distance from Charlotte, NC to High Point, NC is 77 miles or 124 kilometers.

I no longer live in the area, but I still plan to revisit a few of these spots in the next year when I'm in North Carolina for a visit. You'll find plenty of unique shops to visit downtown — including one of my favorite independent book stores, Firestorm Books & Coffee. If you're into art, the River Arts District houses artist studios in former factory buildings while downtown is home to beautiful architecture and plenty of galleries to visit. While there's now a White Duck Taco Shop location in Charlotte, I still highly recommend stopping at the downtown Asheville location.

Fire marks Oceanside Pier’s latest chapter in a troubled history

The channel below serves as a sink for some people in the community, who use the murky water to wash their hands and clothes. Several TV news crews have passed through his riverside community in the last few days, asking him and his neighbors about their way of life. Normally, the review process takes 100 days, according to Fish and Wildlife spokesperson Tim Daly.

The deer have destroyed natural habitat — including native vegetation found only on the island — and exacerbated the risk of soil erosion in grazed-over areas. Was experiencing growing pains as it found its expansion hampered by a lack of water. In 1905, LADWP Chief Engineer William Mulholland, Mulwray’s real-life counterpart, oversaw the construction of the Los Angeles Aqueduct, which diverted water to L.A. “It supplied the city’s fresh water needs until about 1900, but it was a temperamental little river that was prone to flooding,” Deverell says.

Her name was also added to the opening credits. After the CT Scan, House writes something down on a notepad and hands the notepad to one of the hostages. He tells the patient that if he wants the answer, he'll have to give him the gun first. Then he turns about the results of the scan and asks Thirteen what she sees. She replies that it's a starburst caused by the gun he was holding during the scan, obscuring the CT results. The hostage turns the notepad around and it says "starburst" on it.

First Episode Appearance

Thirteen's brother was in the late stages of Huntington's disease and couldn't control his movements. He thinks drugs would explain everything because they can mess up the electrical pathways in the heart and cause blood clots. Thirteen realizes House will want to search her apartment. The patient's father had bypass surgery, which makes her a candidate for atherosclerosis. He orders an ultrasound and Foreman agrees to follow House to Thirteen's apartment to keep him from doing anything inappropriate - in example, 'stealing [her] underwear'. During the season-six finale, "Help Me", Thirteen shows up late at a differential, obviously hiding something.

Diagnosis

He hands her the results of the Huntington's test he kept House from finding in her apartment. He realizes she will be symptomatic in a relatively short time and believes her behavior is getting destructive. When they talk about Thirteen's behavior, Foreman tells her that taking drugs, drinking and having sex with strangers isn't what life is all about. She replies that she only wants to live her life to the fullest and that it sounds fun to her.

They realize the wife's hoarding could be a symptom, just like Taub said. However, Foreman hits on hydrogen sulphide exposure— it could explain the wife's symptoms and they didn't test for it. House orders another environmental scan, and they once again decide Chase and Masters have to go. Their relationship blossoms, but problems develop when Foreman accidentally learns Thirteen is on the placebo.

Final diagnosis

He sees the woman lying on Thirteen's couch. When the patient gives his cousin and limo driver a cheque for $10 million because Jennifer had reminded him that he was the person who was with him year in and year out all their lives. When Jennifer starts crying, Thirteen realizes she's wearing contact lenses under her glasses, most likely to change her eye color. The patient realizes that "Jennifer" doesn't have brown eyes and starts questioning her. He starts to realize she's not the woman he was in love with.

He figures she likes the challenge of seducing pretty women. He tells her to tell the patient she has only ten years to live. Thirteen agrees to do it even though she won't get her job back, just so the patient wont' have to deal with House.

Storyline

Thirteen admits she doesn't like relationships. Suddenly, Thirteen realizes that Spencer's hip is numb. Cameron asks Thirteen what the patient's name is, but she doesn't even know. Both Thirteen and House are equally critical and understanding of each other's self-pity and fatalism in the face of miserable circumstances. Although she believes in the importance of hope, Thirteen says in "Changes" that she believes that people are intrinsically happy or miserable, and that this cannot be changed. Thirteen retorts that House's life is similarly miserable and that "lotteries are stupid".

Woman found dead in shallow grave struggled with addiction: Sister

Lucas and House sit on a bench mulling over Wilson's ex-prostitute and what to do about it. Taub approaches, carrying results from the lung biopsy. House then goes to Thirteen with the results, asking her why she isn't just having sex with random men.

Thirteen watches from the other side of the bed. House diagnoses her with Sjögren's syndrome, which attacks the glands that produce tears and saliva. Her lack of spit makes her mouth a breeding ground for a fungus like Candida, which is causing the bleeding. Thirteen's asthma inhaler wiped out her mouth's immune system as well so that she also has Candida.

House comes back into the room and goes to Thirteen. Instead of telling House that she was refusing to take the drug, she lies and tells him that he didn't make her take it. The patient once again asks that someone else be injected with the drug first. However, the drug slows the heart rate, and slowing the heart rate of someone who already has a normal heart rate is dangerous.

She and Chase get into a fight, and Thirteen soon has the upper hand, although Chase soon overpowers her. He tells her he's taking the woman to the hospital. He tells her he has a plan to switch her with a dead patient so that her name will not appear on hospital records. The woman won't talk about why she started taking drugs again. Chase and Thirteen are discussing the side effects of the drugs they gave Dr. Richardson.

Thirteen says she's hurt that House didn't bribe someone or hack into sealed records to find out what she did. The patient says he's had nosebleeds since he was hit in the nose with a volleyball. When Chase presses, he figures the patient has a serratia infection - a red colored bacteria that can affect the lungs. Chase wants to treat him for it, but when the patient coughs again, it's clearly blood. Although the relationship is unlikely to resume, it's still clear that Foreman has feelings for Thirteen.

He realizes her sobbing meant that the dead person was close to her, and she doesn't want to discuss the details because they're personal. He realizes she euthanized her brother, and the man she kneed in the groin was a doctor who wouldn't help her cover it up. She says that the man she kneed was her cellmate's boyfriend who cheated on her.

On February 8, 2012, Fox announced that the eighth season, then in progress, would be its last.[4] The series finale aired on May 21, 2012, following an hour-long retrospective. Thirteen's one night stand collapses at her apartment, and her symptoms are so misleading that the diagnosis may be terminal. However, he gets his job back and they deceive House into thinking they have split up when they are really still together. Sjögren's is fairly common, occurring in about 1 out of every 1,000 people. A hospital the size of Princeton-Plainsboro would probably see a case once every week or so. The Disease is ten times more common in women more than men. Thirteen returns back to her downward spiral, hooking up with a new one-night stand.

Episodes176

Throughout House's run, six of the main actors have received star billing. They kiss and agree to try being a couple.[115] Throughout season seven, House and Cuddy try to make their relationship work, but Cuddy eventually breaks it off because of House's addiction. House struggles to deal with this and, in the season-seven finale, drives his car into Cuddy's living room in anger. As Lisa Edelstein left the show before season eight, after this incident Cuddy leaves the hospital and House never sees her again.

House leaves the room and we see the patient telling Thirteen to inject herself with the drug. Unlike the previous times where she readily injected herself, this time she is scared and admits that she doesn't want to die. The police set up the concussive charge outside the room. The patient points his gun at her, threatening her. Thirteen puts the needle closer and closer to her arm, but keeps crying that she doesn't want to die.

He only wanted to save her the humiliation of a drug test and to stop her losing her license. She accuses Spencer of sleeping with her to get to House, and Spencer admits she followed Thirteen to a bar to ask for help, but counters that Thirteen was only using her for sex. Suddenly, Spencer clutches her chest and the cardiac monitor beeps.

He's already taken anti-nausea medication and it hasn't worked. Chase realizes his stomach lining is damaged and unless they find the cause, nothing is going to work. They want to give him drugs to get him back on his feet, even though they won't do anything for the underlying cause. Thirteen tells Dr. Richardson that the misery will go away if he takes a risky drug. The patient seems resigned to the fact he can't be diagnosed. House gives the patient back the gun and tells the police that the patient overpowered him.

Episode number

The reaction to the hyperbaric chamber seems to rule out carbon monoxide, but Thirteen wants to test the assistant and patient for infections because the assistant seemed to be in a daze. House asks if the assistant brought anything from the patient's room to the chamber, and Foreman says he just brought a handbag, flowers and a stuffed elephant. House calls Thirteen's phone and instructs her to go to the patient's room. When she arrives, he directs her to the elephant and tells her to talk to it.

The patient doesn't care, noting that since Thirteen has taken everything that he's taken, any bad reactions she has to it would more accurately reflect what would happen to him. Thirteen tells House that she'll either die from the drug or the patient will shoot her, so she'll die either way. Surgery can remove the cysts, but the cysts replace healthy lung tissue until the lungs stop working. Spencer drops her head, stunned by this turn, realizing she will eventually die from the disease.

She survived that episode when House decided to fire Henry because their thought processes were too similar. During her teens, she appears to have attended Newton North High School in Newton, Massachusetts, where she describes herself as "The Queen of Truth or Dare". She also spent at least her junior year at a high school in West Virginia, where she entered a science fair (finishing fourth in the state).

He figures she was running an illegal medical clinic for some sympathetic group of people. House reveals he wants Thirteen to go along because she won a science fair competition in high school on clean combustion and he needs her skills for the competition. He tells Thirteen he's finished second four years running to the same man - Harold Lam. Thirteen realizes how serious House is about the competition and agrees to help, but demands that she be allowed a personal stop along the way. House wants to know what Thirteen is going back for when her license practice medicine is obviously suspended because of her conviction. While she's in the changing room, House starts going over the facts.

In You Don't Want to Know, House notices that Thirteen gets angry with herself for dropping a folder. He finds that reaction unusual (most people would laugh or ignore the incident) and decides to switch out Thirteen's decaffeinated coffee with regular coffee. Thirteen finally explains herpes encephalitis. House agrees and orders tests to confirm and treatment. The patient and Jennifer are laughing together, but Thirteen tells her that she is going to have to leave the room for the test.

Suddenly, House pipes up - he's called Masters' smart phone and has overheard their plans to leave. House is on his way to the Schenectady Chilli Cook Off and Spud Gun competition. He tells them he's alone because his wife is with her boyfriend. Chase thinks the case is routine - a nosebleed running into the lungs that was coughed back out. However, Masters suggests a toxin and House orders blood cultures and an environmental scan. Several episodes later, Foreman and Thirteen embark on a relationship, which affects Foreman's professional judgment to the extent that he fixes the drug trial, which causes serious side effects in Thirteen.

During this season, some Thirteen's personal information is revealed. Thirteen starts displaying signs of self-destructive behaviour and also reveals that she has asthma. Thirteen is fired but rehired after making a real emotional connection with a patient. However, Thirteen continues on her downward spiral. Thirteen is also forced to become a guinea pig for whatever drugs a hostile patient receives in one of the episodes.

Pick an outward facing room and you’ll have views of Biscayne Bay and Brickell Key, and you might be able to catch a peek of the cruise ships as well. It’s only a couple of blocks to the trolley stop that can take you to the port. As for getting to the ships on cruise day, you’re literally just minutes away.

Cruise Ships Compare Ships & Cruise Ports

The Sunshine class (once known as the Destiny class) may be the most unusual class of ships in the Carnival fleet. On paper, the ships in this class are among the oldest vessels that Carnival operates. However, you also can make an argument that they are among the newest vessels in the line.

Port Canaveral (Orlando), FL

Also, there are always several music venues where you'll find live performers in the afternoons and evenings, including — on some ships — the Atrium Bar and a secondary hub area called Ocean Plaza. There's almost always a piano bar that's home to lively singalongs. When it comes to raucous, though, nothing on Carnival ships quite compares to the frequent karaoke nights on board. Sometimes held in a secondary lounge or a shipboard pub, karaoke on Carnival draws a big crowd.

The Many Different Classes Of Carnival Ships (Biggest To Smallest)

Jubilee has a gross tonnage of 183,521 GT and can accommodate 5,374 passengers at double-capacity. Here is a list of every Carnival cruise ship from newest to oldest that will be updated as new ships enter Carnival’s fleet. The ships range from the 70,000 gross ton Fantasy class to the 180,000 Excel class LNG powered cruise ships. At just 88,000 gross tons, Spirit Class ships are considered mid-sized vessels that can hold right around 2,100 passengers.

Carnival Conquest: Best ship for budget travelers

On one of Carnival's newest ships, Carnival Panorama, there's no RedFrog Pub, but the Smokehouse Brewhouse has a stage that's home to live music nightly and some of the ship's karaoke sessions. Carnival is also well known for the Punchliner Comedy Clubs on its ships, which draw quality comedians and can get a little raucous late at night with adult-only performances. In addition, every ship has at least one — and usually several — extra-charge eateries. The two venues have flat fees of $49 and $24 per person, respectively. Every vessel has two main dining rooms and a casual buffet eatery where meals are included in the fare. For dinner in the main dining room, you must sign up for either Your Time dining (you go whenever you want) or Traditional Dining (you have a fixed table and time for dinner).

Sunshine class

The good news for those of you trying to get a handle on all the options within the Carnival fleet is that the line's ships can easily be bunched into just eight groups of vessels that have similar amenities. Carnival Liberty is another Conquest-class vessel that entered service in 2005. She was the first ship in the fleet to receive all the FUN 2.0 enhancements in 2011, including popular venues Guy’s Burger Joint and the Alchemy Bar. Carnival Freedom is the final ship in the popular Conquest-class, ending an era of ship class and design for the cruise line.

For many years, Carnival steered clear of the big ship trends in the industry. Executives thought the ever-bigger vessels being deployed by such lines as Royal Caribbean and MSC Cruises were too big to make for an enjoyable cruise experience. Unlike Royal Caribbean and some other cruise lines, Carnival doesn't always drastically change the design of its ships from class to class. Other than these two ships, Carnival's biggest vessel is the 4,090-passenger Carnival Venezia, which measures just 135,225 tons.

On Carnival ships in Australia, smoking is only allowed in designated outdoor areas. In fact, when it comes to waterslides on ships, Carnival is the cruise world's king. There's now at least one waterslide on all but one ship in the Carnival fleet (Carnival Luminosa) — something no other line can say. Note that Carnival's two oldest ships — those that are part of the 1990s-built Fantasy Class — have relatively few balcony cabins by today's standards.

Carnival Destiny was the first passenger cruise ship ever built over 100,000 gross tons in size. The 3,002 passenger ship is currently 102,853 gross tons after the remodel. The first Dream class ship from Carnival Cruise Line, Carnival Dream was the first Carnival ship to be over 120,000 gross tons in size. The ship debuted in 2009 at 128,000 GT and carries 3,646 passengers. Carnival Jubilee is the third Excel-class ship with the cruise line and was entered into service in December of 2023. The ship is currently homeporting in Galveston, Texas and is the first brand-new ship to homeport at the Texas port.

Carnival Vista is 133,500 GRTs and carries 3,934 passengers (based on two per cabin). The ships have relatively fewer amenities and venues than the newer and bigger Carnival ships. You won't find giant water parks on these vessels as you would on newer Carnival ships.

Check the decks on Mardi Gras® and plan all the fun you're going to have on board. Whether it’s casual munching or sit-down elegance you’re hungry for, we can’t wait to share all this dining variety with you. Playlist Productions™ takes songs you know and presents them like you’ve never known them before.

Originally designed and ordered for Italy-based Costa Cruises — a sister brand to Carnival — the ship is actually a sister vessel to Costa's four Concordia-class ships. It will be familiar to anyone who knows Carnival ships because the design of Costa's Concordia class was based upon the design of Carnival's Conquest class, and the two classes are very similar. Interior venues on Dream-class ships include Punchliner comedy clubs, piano bars, casinos and showrooms for big production shows. The dining options are similar to what you'll find on Vista-class ships; Guy's Burger Joint, BlueIguana Cantina, steakhouses and the Italian eatery Cucina Del Capitano are included on all three vessels.

However, for many years it chose not to follow rivals such as Royal Caribbean and MSC Cruises in building ever-bigger ships. Mardi Gras and Carnival Celebration are now the only Carnival ship on the list of the 50 biggest cruise ships. Seven of the line's 25 vessels measure less than 100,000 tons, which makes them almost midsize by today's cruise ship standards. We’re at home anywhere we sail… but you can only have one hometown, and for Carnival that is unmistakably Miami.

Note that even after the makeovers, the ships still don't have all the bells and whistles of Carnival's truly new ships, such as Carnival Panorama. As noted above, Carnival's newest ships are bigger than its older ships, allowing for more attractions, restaurants and lounges. The overhaul of Carnival Sunshine, which took place in 2013, brought similar changes, as well as a complete renovation of the ship's pool area that incorporated a multideck waterfall. This is because each of the ships in this series has been almost completely gutted and rebuilt from the waterline up.

Currently, the 1998-built Carnival Elation is the oldest ship in the fleet. The vessel has a guest capacity of 2,124 at double occupancy, along with 930 international crew members. Carnival Splendor is 113,300, just slightly larger than the Conquest-class vessels. She has a guest capacity of 3,012 and 1,150 international crew members. The Carnival Luminosa was formerly known as Costa Luminosa before she transferred from the sister brand Costa Cruises in 2022. The Spirit-class vessel began sailing following a dry dock to receive her new Carnival colors in September 2022.

The ship has something for every type of traveler, including three kids clubs, adult-only spaces, and over a dozen different dining options. Around the ship, you’ll find spaces like Phantom Lounge and Dr. Frankenstein’s Lab, where you can see shows or dance the night away. When you’re ready to soak up the sun, find a lounge chair at the adults-only pool deck or splash down on one of the slides at WaterWorks.

Carnival Mircale is the latest ship in the Spirit-class from Carnival Cruise Line. The vessel was constructed in Helsinki, Finland and was completed in 2004. For any cruises listed, Cruise Critic does not guarantee any specific rates or prices. On "elegant" nights, you'll see a range of clothing from ball gowns, dresses that leave little to the imagination, tuxes and suits to the same shorts and tees people sport all day long. Most men, however, opt for long pants and collared shirts, while women don sundresses, or a skirt or pants with a blouse.

Meanwhile, staterooms have lavish touches like handcrafted beds and marble bathrooms. What could be more romantic than a night at Movies Under the Stars, reclining on padded loungers while snuggled under wool tartan blankets on the pool deck? Or for a quiet conversation with your sweetie, try Adagio, a private lounge found on several of the cruise line's older ships, including Crown Princess, Emerald Princess and Ruby Princess. During the day, we love The Sanctuary, a retreat complete with waiter service and massage offerings -- try a couples cabana massage (Princess Cruises’ specialty). Get into your bathrobes into your stateroom and sip a glass of wine by the balcony. You could either enjoy a slow-paced luxury cruise for lovers or head right into the thrill and adventure of watersports and other engaging activities onboard.

You won't have to worry about a thing – except how to spend the day with your favorite person. Ditch the tour full of your shipmates, and spend an afternoon together kayaking or standup paddleboarding straight from the ship's water sports platform. Feed each other caviar as you sip Champagne on the beach at one of the line's Champagne and Caviar Splash parties. Enjoy most of your meals alfresco, sampling from the raw menu, or indulging in ship-made ice cream. Cuddle up with your lover on the top-deck Balinese beds, and lounge away a sea day. Nearly everyone is partnered up on a SeaDream Yacht Club cruise; this isn't the line for taking your kids or your besties.

In fact, cruising is so romantic that thousands of couples actually get married, honeymoon and renew their vows onboard ships annually. In Bora Bora, take a glass-bottom boat ride or head to a private, white-sand beach for a day together swimming, kayaking or challenging another couple to some volleyball. An overnight in Moorea allows you to try some local cuisine and soak in the beauty of the port’s blue lagoons. But perhaps the biggest selling point of this Tahiti cruise is a call on private islet Motu Mahana, where you and your loved one can bond under swaying palms. When it’s time for lunch, you’ll enjoy a sprawling, beachside barbecue with drinks served in coconuts—or head to the floating bar for a top up.

Preparing for a Couples Cruise

Couples searching for paradise should make sure to book this cruise, which sets sail in 2025. Virgin has a diversion for every type of couple, whether it’s a throwback night of popcorn and arcade games at The Social Club or a romantic walk at sunset on the ship’s suspended jogging track. An overnight in Mykonos allows energetic pairs to party with the locals till dawn. Snorkeling in crystal clear waters and watching the sunset with coconut cocktails are part of the fabulous Windstar parcel when you sign up for their seven-day Tahiti cruise. Guests will sail on a handsome Wind Spirit yacht from Papeete, bouncing from island to island to frolic on white-sand beaches, and swim among tropical sea life.

Best Romantic Cruise For Couples: Paul Gauguin Cruises, Paul Gauguin

Cruise line photographers are skilled at getting great shots in a short amount of time. That means you won’t be caught up too long sitting around waiting to take pictures. While you won’t want to get up at the crack of dawn every day, making a point to get up to see the sunrise at least once or twice during your trip is well worth the early-morning yawns. Sunsets on the open ocean are epic too, so check to see when the sun will be rising and setting for the best photos and views.

Experiences to Share

Although Celebrity ships hold thousands of guests, they’re so thoughtfully designed with cozy nooks and corners that they have a surprisingly intimate feel, which is why they may end up being your favorite cruises. That’s especially true for the Edge series ships, the newest in the fleet, which include the recently launched Beyond, a wonder in and of itself. Beyond fully lives up to its name, especially if you upgrade to the Retreat, an exclusive ship within a ship that will make you feel like, well, a celebrity. It includes a beautiful, roomy suite with your own veranda and also grants you access to a private sundeck, lounge and restaurant conducive to more intimate conversations. For the perfect date night, be sure to make a dinner reservation at Le Voyage, the first restaurant at sea from Michelin-starred chef Daniel Boulud, before heading off to a Broadway-quality show.

Share a picnic lunch after visiting an active volcano on the Big Island of Hawaii. Surround yourself with beauty in bloom at the Butchart Gardens in Victoria. Rediscover your sense of wonder and why you fell in love in the first place on award-winning excursions.

Walk hand in hand as you visit historical landmarks including the Pantheon, the Colosseum, and the Sistine Chapel inside St. Peter’s Basilica in the Vatican. During an intimate lunch for two, feast on pasta, pizza, and a glass of vino before strolling towards the Trevi Fountain, where you can both throw in a penny and make a wish. End the day by boarding a wooden catamaran and sailing off to Aruba’s western coast, where you and your partner can sip on hand-crafted cocktails while admiring the pink, violet, and golden colors of the sunset. Active couples can race each other in go-karts and compete to see who can shoot the most zombies (Joy and Encore only).

When you share the world with the one you love, you create memories to share forever. Cruise vacations can be expensive depending on which cruise line you go with, so you’ll want to save wherever you can. Taking advantage of online discounts and other deals can help you get the best voyage for your money.
